I have kept records / copies of all peer reviewed shops reported for resale items for 3 yrs and not one shop or item removed. I have also been harassed and threatened closure for 11 cases opened in 5 yrs and over 920 items sold and 300 reviews.I purchased one item on Etsy for myself was so grossly misrepresented and had to open a case.

Etsy literally required me to take a pair of broke down, cracked, dried destroyed boots listed as lots of life but distressed and photos doctored, to an AUTHENTICATOR!!

Or they would not refund me but has refunded buyers who have literally taken my items apart after threatening me with bad review if i don't refund them.I have very very very detailed policies, I list all items accurately with measurements, professional photos, precise details and my clients 99.99 percent of them love my items and my service and my professionalism but Etsy has a hate on for me probably because of my peer reports.I am very eager to start a class action. I have even contacted and been responded to by the same legal team who sued Etsy for the share holders who filed fraud charges just weeks after Etsy went public on stock exchange and they are interested.I would love to talk and take action with as many as want.

Etsy bullies their own customers and scams them with fees for services they have withdrawn!

we need to keep this conversation going. I am behind you 100%! They are cheap crooks. I too am now going into 2years of being billed for a closed shop. Etsy is a prime example of what is wrong with online business. They will not allow me to close my shop entirely and yet they bill me for the full services that I have not received since 2012 This is insane that there is no protection for their own customers. Maybe this will have to go the route of a class action suit. Keep your chin up and don't let them have the final word. They are bullies and deserve to be put out of business themselves. Their owners and employees are cowards and deserve to be sued! More will be revealed as this issue continues to grow with more and more customers of etsy being left in the dust.

Etsy closed my shop, ignored my documentations, claim I owe refunds for non returned items, won't allow me to use my shop and won't let me close it, continues to charge me shop fees for full services when they have withdrawn those services!

Etsy seller stole $377. Etsy ignored the whole problem.

I really liked an item and wanted to buy it. For 2 days I tried to use their payment process, PayPal, but it was not working. You can not contact Etsy. The email that I sent, asking for help, was answered with the suggestion to “contact the seller”. I did and after 4 days, agreed to send a Money Order to the seller. You can guess the rest of the story. The seller took the $377.00, cancelled his Etsy account and his cell phone number. Etsy said they couldn’t help me because I had not used PayPal…..but Etsy, I tried for 4 days!!!! Etsy has ignored the entire issue and was not willing to give any forwarding info or any help so that I could try to re-coup my money. It has been reported to the police. There is no support for the buyer. Beware!

etsy won't help you even with a paypal account. i had a bad experience with Repose on etsy.

he sells *** clothing. has a lot of good reviews but he decided to rip me. Repose told me etsy said he doesn't have to refund for that piece of trash he sent me. it's not required, even it was his fault.

it was not as described.

i talked to kayla with etsy and she told me no, they're not required to refund. even if he did have a proper paypal, they wouldn't have enforced it if something was wrong.

Why wasn't PayPal working? Was PayPal not working, or did the shop not have a PP account...

or what? If you don't know the seller, NEVER send cash/money order!!

Why in the world would you mail a money order? Didn't any red flags pop up in your head when you realized the seller couldn't use their paypal acct? What this crook did to you was terrible for sure but for goodness sake you need to be a little more savvy than that.

Damaged desk, terrible seller

I purchased a $950.00 vintage desk from southern water lilies on Etsy and paid for it to be shipped usps. It weighed too much for usps so she sent it UPS. I was horrified but it was too late she had already shipped it. she insured it for only 100.00. It was not wrapped well enough. Its amazing that it arrived in one piece. Naturally it arrived damaged. 3 cracked legs and a crushed corner. She quit answering my e-mails when I asked her to help me with repair costs. She did answer one and complained how she had used some of her own money to send it UPS. I would never have okayed UPS unless the piece was in a crate. She said it was crated--it was wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard. God. I asked her repeatedly about the condition of the desk before I purchased it she replied it was in wonderful condition. It has a large mark on the top and the lacquer was touched up with magic marker. She said it was from the previous owner. What kind of answer is that? I basically had to put my trust in this *** and I learned my lesson. What a terrible business person. At least the desk can be repaired.

I looked through her reviews (https://www.etsy.com/shop/SouthernWaterlillies/reviews?page=1 ) and it seems as if she has a history of ill-packing things. Did you read her reviews before you purchased?

She apparently managed to badly pack many smaller items; I would NEVER have trusted her with something so large, important and expensive. :(

Hi , she is lair , she got all the product and plus she is claiming for money. Whatever she paid for we delivers that product on time. If someone stole product from her doorstep that is not our responsibility and we have a signature proof of delivery so how could she claim for money when all the product is delivered. She is a racist , we try to help her by sending the 2 jacket free of cost after all this but she claim charge back because of that we withdraw the parcel. She want money as well jacket .. do you guys think its fair enough. Seller beware with this lady

Me and another store owner in Etsy had the same experience with you. A buyer bought things from both our stops & after receiving the items, applied for a chargeback in paypal.

But lucky we won the paypal case since we have proof of delivery & signature confirmation.

When I do business in Etsy, I always stand by my policy very firmly. I don't give way to extortion.

Etsy - Online Order Review from Christchurch, Canterbury

I ordered goods which were never delivered, tried to contact seller - no response, so opened a case with etsy who immediately closed it in the basis that the seller is no longer able to sell through them. They probably already do under a new name and etsy just turns a blind eye to it. Not interested in investigating or remediating. The only contact email address I found for etsy itself generates auto response that it doesn't accept emails. Bunch of cowboys.

Counterfeit Merchandise

Believe it or not if you thought ebay has alot of fake / counterfeit merchandise than stay off of est.com. Just do a search of "cc" brooch, pin, ribbon, bracelet, earrings, even REPLICA and you will see tons of counterfeit Chanel merchandise. I have tried reported these counterfeit items through the "report item" button on etsy and even writing to etsy's supposed marketing integrity department but etsy REFUSES to remove any counterfeit merchandise on their site. Since the sale of counterfeit merchandise is illegal and etsy REFUSES to remove these items, etsy should be held culpable. Shame on you etsy.com

In email interaction with this online vendor, response was very rude. The customer service is terrible. They treat customers like an unwelcome intrusion into their right to frisk the public. Unless you like being treated badly, don't buy from or communicate with this Etsy vendor. (The products are mostly junk anyway.) There are a lot of good Etsy vendors. Well- import fees are the customer's responsibility. It's so unnerving to constantly be asked to change the value or mark as a gift from customers.

This is very illegal and if caught, a seller could lose their entire business. Jail time even. It's practically impossible for a seller from the US to know import and duty taxes and fees for all the countries they ship to and for a customer to complain about it is just silly. If you are going to order from overseas it's your responsibility to know what your country charges/requires.

Second- if the seller took so long to ship that your protection ran out then you should report them to etsy.

Generally they can re-open a case like that and hold the seller responsible.

You just have to contact them directly. Abuse@***.com I believe is a good email address for that...

Yes I agree. Don't give to this business because they are not an honest company to patronize.

I as well placed my first order in May 2016 they shipped it in two days. I placed a second order they actually placed two separate orders charged me twice showed my order as not shipped and deducted twice from my account. I e-mailed them three times and they never once replied.

Bad company to deal with. Buyer beware.

Etsy - Online Order Review from Irving, Illinois

I ordered an item through Etsy from Dentz Denim and the very next day I tried to cancel the order,because I found one I liked better (also from Etsy). Etsy said I had to deal directly with the vendor, who said they did not answer emails, but would also not give me any other way to contact them. Looks like I'm out money on an item I don't want and nothing I can do about it. Won't be ordering from Etsy anymore if this doesn't get resolved, and will be telling others not to as well.
