I purchased a vintage watch from a seller, and there was a delay of a couple of days in processing my payment. The seller sold the item privately at a higher price to someone else, in spite of the fact that I had immediately paid for the item.

Citibank verified that the purchase was consummated immediately, and so it was Etsy that had delayed payment for some unknown reason.

The biggest problem, aside from Etsy claiming that it was OK for the seller to cancel the sale, was that I LOST money on the exchange. I filed a complaint, and yet Etsy refused to even refund the difference in my purchase price and refund.

To add insult to injury, they refuse to discuss the matter on the phone. Therefore, I will never use their services again, and GO OUT OF MY WAY to discourage others from doing so.
